European Renewable Energy Trading

The 'European Directive' on the promotion of electricity produced from renewable energy sources came into force in September 2001. Governments across Europe have subsequently introduced various incentives and trading schemes aimed at both licensed suppliers of electricity and non-domestic energy users to facilitate the development of greater use of renewable energy.
